Nose is subtle, not overpowering of hops. Taste comes off very bitter with a nice hop profile. Very drinkable with a full, thick mouth and lingering bitterness. Good middle of the road IPA. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA

The aroma was light grapefruit with some nuts. The taste was light grapefruit with some bitter burnt bread crust. Again, another pale ale with almost no hops. 21iceman40 (1731), vienna, West Virginia, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 23, 2007 4-22-07 The only one I tried there at the pub, though I bought two growlers of the stout and the pale ale. Draught. Orange and hazy. Aroma is citrusy and pleasant. Flavor is slightly sweet with lots of citrusy hop goodness. Bracingly bitter on the back of the tongue. Sweetness never becomes cloying and it leads to a long, dry finish. Impressive. Cornfield (4966), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 23, 2007 This is the best beer at the brewpub, but that goes without saying to a hophead. It pours a hazy light amber with a thick white head that does some intricate lacing. The aroma is heavy with resinous pine, grapefruit, and lemon zest scents. The caramel in the flavor has just enough backbone to support the intense PNW bitterness that remain in the prolonged, bitter, peppery finish. A well crafted IPA.

eating a grassy meadow. a hophead’s delight. hops are a very present and dominant taste, just this side of smacking your tongue right out of your mouth.
good balance - the body and mouth feel support the hops well. DJMonarch (6897), Northwich, Cheshire, England
