Commercial Description:
This porter gets its dark, rich reddish-brown hue from a combination of crystal and chocolate specialty malts that give it a full-bodied malty flavor and aroma.

awesome porter, havent had it in a while though. They need to rotate their taps more at vino’s. Solid porter full of thick malts and lots of chocolate. nothing special when compared to the rest of the nation’s breweries, but for ark, its awesome.

This was my first Vino’s brew since moving to Arkansas and I bought a growler of it on a whim. I’m glad I did, though. This was full of chocolately walnutty, almondy, vanilla goodness. While the flavors are kind of basic, you can taste the potential in this brew, and it had more body than paris hilton so i was happy.

GABF 06 <P> Aroma is roasty with a dose of hops adding to a stale, but pronounced piney hop aroma. dark brown to black with a listless tan head. Mouthfeel is quite flat and thin. Some old milk chocolate and roast malt notes appear, but this is mostly tasteless which is almost worst than bad tasting. Just lacks anything to really hold onto flavor wise.

From what I can tell, this brew has a similar hop profile to many of the other brews. Coffee bitterness is prevelant. Overall, not bad at all. I’ll definitely have it again.
