decaturstevo (1971), decatur, Tennessee, USA Jul 2, 2008 7 day old growler opened today. Hazy golden orangish pour with light carbonation. Aroma of bannanas and clove jump out at you. Very clovish flavor that hangs around and lingers. A medium bodied beer for the style. Decent palate and finish. Pretty good beer. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jun 8, 2008 Tap at the brewpub. It was explained to me that this was a fruit wheat. The body was hazy dark gold. The aroma was caramel with some malt and dark berries. There was also a little bit of banana. The taste was decent banana peels with some light hints of peach and stone fruit. LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA Jul 5, 2007 first off, i disagree. i believe this is an american wheat. i asked the style at the brewpub and they told me american wheat. but beyond that, it had a great amount of banana, clove, and ginger. lots of yeast and citrus, lemon (though this is one american brewpub that does not offer to put a lemon in your beer thank goodness.) SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA May 26, 2006 On tap at the brew pub. no idea where that name comes from. I asked Bill, the brewer. it is not filtered and he uses a german strain of yeast. muddy gold
color. appears unfilitered. banana and clove. Little Rock is a hefe drinker’s town, at least this summer... kwoeltje (1313), Manchester, Missouri, USA Aug 14, 2005 (draught) pale yellow-gold with fading white head. Faint yeasty aroma with hints of spice. Flavor was predominately apricot, with hints of yeast and citrus. ericmc83 (200), Arkansas, USA Jun 7, 2005 Since I am not a big fan of wheat beers, the name of this brew made me hesitant to try it. I’m glad I finally decided to give it a try! Aroma is lively with banana and citrus. Flavor matches the aroma and has some wheaty flavor as well. Great flavor...very lively. I was extremely pleased!
