Bottle at Ølfestival 2008, Århus
Hazy golden color. A regular Ale, less characteristic than the others from the same brewery, with strong bitterness too, and a yeasty touch.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange/amber and wth a huge, dense and light tan head. Aroma is light fruity and has mild malt notes, light yeast note too. Light spiced caramel malt driven flavour. Medium sweetness and with a light acidity. Ends with a mild malt note into the finish. Shows a bit of bitterness along the way.

Bottle. Average beige thick head that was quickly goon. Good display of lacework. Light cloudy and somewhat flat looking body with a golden-amber color. Light hoppy sniff was the first impression, with hint of citrus and floral notes. Fair malty notes as well. Over the palate a light toasted malty feel with caramelized like notes and a pinch of fruit in there as well. Medium bodied with a light dry texture and an average carbonation. Light to moderated bitter flavor with light sweet notes. Light dry and bitter finish.

The color is beautiful red amber, hazy and the head is moderate. The aroma is really nice and has notes of aroma hops and caramel. The flavour is nice and has as the aroma fruit (aroma hops) and caramel notes, and a sweetness that is just right. The bitterness is very moderate. This is the first beer I rate from Virklund, and it was a nice surprise.
