Bottle - When opened big parts of sediment is coming up in the bottle, which is a big shame. Otherwise the body is deep slightly hazy beautiful amber with lots of fine sparkle and a huge off white lasting head leaving thick patches of laces, if not for the chunks this would have been a 5/5; Excellent nose, amazingly deep, super complex with layer upon layer of nuances that are fitting very very well together, wonders has happened in that barrel, layers of fruit with a slight whiskey sharpness, it is the balance and the depth that makes this so great; Huge soft carbonation (to much), soft texture, balanced bitter, mostly from malt, and sweet, either it has a slight acid touch or it is the whiskey that leaves that impression; Long finish with lots of balanced aromas, not as well incorporated as in the nose, it has plain malt and earthy hop aromas, not really any barrel notes, which is good, but instead a slight touch of whiskey brings complexity. Amazing beer that I have been looking very much forward to taste. Great that it is not just the funky brewers (Mikkeller, Amager etc) who are trying out the barrels. Thanks a lot and please try again!
