SaintMatty (519), Tallinn, Estonia Sep 21, 2008 500ml Bottle - Golden in colour. Sweetish aroma with some floral and fruity notes along with some malt. Sweetish and slightly sour taste with some lemon and malt. It is drinkable but there is a slightly unpleasant hint to the finish. Slightly gassy and sour. Still, it could be worse. Does not taste its strength. FatPhil (2368), Espoo, Finland Jun 15, 2008 500ml bottle - thanks SaintMatty!
Golden orange, very brief head. Big sweet fruity aroma, bocky malts. Fairly soft palate, some crispness from the carbonation. A bit alcoholic, but a fair sweet, but almost saccharinny, malty body, creamy in places. Hops are a bit spiky and harsh. More extract than flowers. That spoils the finish a tad. I’d have been happier with less hops, as the creamy maltiness is pretty OK. Doesn’t need to be 7.5% either. And this isn’t by any stretch of the imagination a doppelbock, this is just a European Strong Lager, or even a Malt Liquor. HenrikSoegaard (3176), Randers, Denmark Sep 23, 2006 Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Ok aroma and flavor. Oily palate. FrankJohansen (2807), Sabro, Denmark Sep 22, 2006 Bottle. Clear golden colour with a medium mostly lasting white head. Aroma and taste of malt. Slightly bitter finish.
