Pale amber orange with a medium sized white head. Aroma is quite sweet and malty, with a strong sterile alcohol whiff. Flavour is sweet, quite sharp and slightly cloying. Alcohol dominates, and, like the aroma, there is no complexity whatsoever. As would be expected, the malt really dominates but it’s not a positive one, and it’s really syrupy, like a beer reduction. The spanish should stick to sherry.

does not count  Oct 6, 2008 Can 33cl: dark ambar colur with light toasted and creamy head, fine bubble. Dry aroma with memories to malta. In the mouth is dry, strong and bitter. No watery postflavour. One of my fovourites beer in Spain, no doubt!!!

Oct 6, 2008 Quite strong, German-style beer from Spain. Significant alcohol presence (or maybe my can wasn’t enough chilled), very tasty malty finish. Remind me of our good ol’ Polish Kaper - treacherous, speedily gives a solid kick.

Dark gold with a thin white head that last’s reasonably well. Wow, "Doble Malta", they’re not wrong. Huge malt on the nose with some strange bacon fat notes too, but they’re actually quite pleasant. The flavour is bordering on nasty after the aroma being surprisingly ok. More of the heavy right malt but there is some all too apparent metal. Not really offensive but it’s on the way. There are at least some decent fruit and caramel notes and a faint bitterness in the finish. The alcohol is hidden pretty well considering it’s a 7.2% continental macro.
Drinkable.

Sep 24, 2008 dark ambar color and white head. malty and sweet aroma. sweet in the beginning, but bitter in the finish. a little watery. A good spanish beer.

Sep 1, 2008 An amber lager with a creamy white thick head. Aroma of light caramel and grains. In mouth, a rather sweet nutty malt with good German hops. Oily mouthfeel. Medium bodied. Actually, not that bad. Bought at Alimara hotel bar, 2.80 E. Mid Nov. 2006.
