blankboy (2565), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 13, 2008 Bottle (22oz). Pours a cloudy dark orange-copper with an average size lasting foamy white head. Nice hoppy aroma, spicy, piney & floral, along with fruit and sweet malt. Interesting flavour of piney / sprucy hops backed by malt along with earthy yeast and citrus fruit -- quite refreshing and tasty. Medium bodied. I don’t know how high this is rated but I really like it. (Well I know how high it’s rated now because I’m entering it and I can see it, but at the time I wrote my notes I didn’t). I’d love to get more of this stuff. acrdz (4285), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jun 22, 2008 Silver cap (I think). 22oz bottle from Zeno’s consumed at a BYOB Indian restaurant down the street. Cloudy dark orange/yellow colored body with a white head. Dry, sticky, cobweb hops in the nose - pine-heavy, dry and overall very well-made and inviting. Assertively bitter flavor, grassy, caustic, rough, but I think the hops used make this aggressiveness more of a benefit than a problem. Catty, dry, fresh, tasting of dry pine and honey, sharp and bitter all around, overall a very nice full-frontal force of bitterness. I’m honestly wondering if this is some new batch or if something has improved over time vs. the previous 30 or so raters, because this is stuff is solid all around and very delicious. Without defects, uses the right type of malts, and it’s assertively hopped. Very nice. TomDecapolis (2407), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 17, 2008 Pours a hazy deep orange with golden notes and a medium bubbly off white foamy head that left some lacing. Aroma of orange, honey, bready, light pine, floral and light caramel notes. Flavor of pine, a little earthy, grassy/floral hops, a little thin with lingering bitterness, mixed citrus, and a hint of caramel with some bready malt. adrian910ss (1011), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 11, 2008 22 oz bomber. Pours a cloudy honey gold with a medium sized cream head. Aroma of faint floral hops, citrus and bread malts. Taste of grassy floral hops with a hint of tangy citrus and yeast.
