| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 3, 2006 33 cl bottle (Bello Vino, Ann Arbor MI, August 2006) served at cellar temperature in a Corsendonk glass. Hazy-oily gold complexion, a moderate snowy cap leaves thick lace as it falls....sweet orange, perfumy floral scents (lilac and perhaps nightshade), mint and some bready notes dominate the lovely aroma, as it warms a hint of allspice surfaces and it turns sweeter overall....the body is juicy, a touch cidery with some sourdough-vinegar notes, lime-orange citric notes showing up towards the finish, which is highly carbonated and faintly metallic....this surprised me, I really found it complex and interesting, not at all the typical Wit or the so-so experience that most people have had. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 27, 2006 Looks like I’m hitting way off the average on this one, but I thought it was quite nice. Pours hazy orange with a decent sized white head. The smell of orange hit my nose while pouring. Upon further examination there was definitely the smooth orange as well has rich wheat and light coriander. Medium / light body with tingly carbonation. The taste starts with citrus that is sharp and lemony then it smooths out to the orange. There is some spice and wheat in the mix, but this is very fruit forward. The finish has a crisp feel with carbonation and spice. But coming back to linger is the creamy orange. This is quite overpriced, but is still worth giving a try. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 15, 2006 Bottle. Pours a hazy/grainy cloudy golden with a long lasting head aboard. Nose is sour fruits and much yeast. Flavor is of fresh apple juice with a twist of citrus. The sweet and sour apple notes continue with all of the bready flavors. This was an interesting wit, much different from what I have had domestically. Glad I tried it, but not so sure I would like to try it again. RedEft (131), Wichita, Kansas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 30, 2006 Poured deep gold with an orange tinge. Definitely the most non-existant head I’ve ever seen. It has a very crisp, tart aroma of fruit dominated by citrus. Tastes remarkably mellow compared to the aroma...citrus at the front with a sort of sour coriander twang at the finish which does not linger at all (thankfully). Instead, it fades to a somewhat lemony sour. It’s good. Refreshing. But certainly a novelty...not something I’d want to drink 2 or 3 of in succession.

Aroma: Nose is sweet with pear, citrus, and a bit of coriander, yeast, and hops in that order of strength.
Appearance: Hazy pale orange with serious thinning at the edges and a practically nonexistent head that did not develop even after aggresively pursuing one. I will upgrade based on head traits but I do not usually downgrade. This one however was one of the worst I have ever seen.
Flavor: Starts sweet with the orange peel evident and ends almost sour with the coriander coming through.
Palate: Thin mouthfeel with that corander sour taste lingering.
Overall: I did not love this beer by any stretch but I cannot say it was not worth trying. If by the artwork on the label they are implying this is Mother’s Milk than mother needs to go into a treatment program because her milk was awfully sour. MrRomero (1934), Nolanville, Texas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Sep 6, 2006 33cl bottle from Bier Tempel Brussels: poured cloudy yellow with virtually no head even with aggressive pour. Apple and yeast aroma with some coriander. Flavor was mouth puckeringly sour at first before my tongue got used to it. Sourish apples flavor with some grain and yeast. Acidic, yes. Some chlorine going on towards the finish which is marked by sourness. An odd beer for sure. I don’t know whether to love it or hate it. lachesis (759), St Idesbald, Belgium
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 6, 2006 Slightly hazy deep blond beer with orange shine. The beer needs a vigourous pour to form some head. The head is white and no long lasting. Smel is flowery, slight honeyed and very corrianderisch. The taste is light and has a crispy sourischness. It has hints of unripe prunes and mirabelles with touches of fresh birchwood and sour yoghurt. Also hints of oatmeal porridge made with buttermilk and slises of granny smith appels. Afthertaste turns dry and ends with some correander, zest and dry grass.
