Pours cloudy orange, solid white head. Aroma is salty, vegetables, light sourness. Taste is overly sour, almost tastes spolied. Light bitterness. Hints of spiciness. Doesn’t come together as a wit.

May 24th 2007 Re-Rate
Has a lightly sulfer, sour aroma and hints at rancid grains. The body a pale white tinted yellow and holds a diminishing, two finger thick, white head. Fresh citrus tasting fore, followed by mild spice, lemon, some almost acidic/lactic notes. Better than I remember it being, but still not one I’m crazy about.
Original rating was a 2.1
Has an almost sea breeze aroma with salt and vegetal notes. Cloudy yellow in color with a thin white head. Taste is way over ripe oranges, yeast and again something vaguely salty or gamy. Flavor is very off putting...it’s almost right it just has that almost rotten note that kills the experience.

[Bottle at Spuyten Duyvil] Brownish yellow with little head and cloudy. Buttery lemony orange with a little bit of corriander and plenty of sweet malt. Maybe some banana in there somewhere. Sweet and sour banana flavour with a candy/oxidized flavour and not very complex. Quite a bit fruity--nectarine? Medium body with moderated carbonation and tangy.

Hazy orange pour with a fluffy white head....poured into a tulip. Very acidic/citrus(orange lemon grapefruit) taste that was well carbonated shocking me first into thinking I had bought a pure ingredient fanta...wanna fanta? A tart like finish. Not too shabby for a refresher but the boobies on the label would expect more i say..MORE

Hazy, light golden with decent white head. A lot of sediment, so a careful pour is recommended. Orange aroma and flavour, refreshing and unusual. Not much bitterness, more sour than sweet though ending bitter-sweetish. An exciting wheat beer with orange peel domination.

Bottle. Hazy golden colour with a medium off-white head. Fruity citrus aroma and a light sour taste. Medium body and a sour finish.

This is a very special re-tasting for me. After a horrible rating of 0.6 last September, I received an apology email from the brewer of Vuuve explaining that there had been an infection at the brewery and he offered to send me a replacement. I agreed but didn’t think much more of it. Then on Christmas Eve a small package arrived and, sure enough it was a new bottle of Vuuve. I thought this was just about the best example of pride in ownership I had ever seen. The bottle poured a slightly hazy (bottle conditioned) light apricot colored beverage with almost no head but what there was of it was white and persisted throughout leaving good lacing on the glass. The aroma was spicy at first. It was somewhat peppery with notes of coriander and orange and sour lemon peel. The body was light with lively carbonation and a dry, astringent mouthfeel. The flavor started off sour and stayed that way through the medium finish. The finish was light and crisp and there was a slight alcohol warmth.

Big C Liquors, Winter Park, Fl. - 11.2 oz bottle. Murky, cloudy, light orange appearance, thin, white head. Aroma has an industrial, soap like quality to it - with a hint of lemon. Some coriander and orange flavors are picked up, but there is an underlying funkiness to it that cannot be shook. The funkiness affects the aftertaste as well, The spiciness is noted, just not done right in this one. Had hopes for this one.
