Hazy yellow orange, thin white head. Tart flavor accentuates the citrus, a bready earthiness comes through as well. Unfortunately, there is an unpleasant medicinal/metallic off-flavor, which detracts from the brew big time. Lively medium light body. If not for the off-flavor, which seems to be a chlorophenol to me, this wouldn’t be bad. Hopefully I just got a bad batch, but it doesn’t speak well that the brewery would allow a beer with such a blatant flaw on the market. Kinz (2207), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA

Aroma lightly of coriander and orange peel. Flavor matched, with notes of wheat grains. Very well balanced. Touch of yeast as well. This is a really good wit. DewBrewer (270), Austin, Texas, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 29, 2005 12 oz. bottle. Peach/copper-colored pour with a very nice fine head. The aroma is fruity with some sweet/tartness. The flavor is fruity with peach, lime, nectarine, and grape. It is quite thirst-quenching yet very nice to sip. The carbonation really brings out the flavors. Excellent beer! heemer77 (4312), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 9, 2005 The head is huge and very active. A nice cloudy light gold color to the body. Spritzy and lively aroma. Lemons with some Irish Spring soap. The taste is more sour and funky than I would have expected. Interesting with a metallic tint and some lemon peel. This is a very unusual and interesting wit. Try this if you are a lambic fan. Makes me burp up a blue cheese flavor. thegreenrooster (1841), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 7, 2005 Pour is a bright orange with a foamy white head. Aroma is strong and fruity, I can smell it w/o bringing the glass to my nose. You can tell they made this with lots of coriander. Flavor is orange peel and maybe lemon peel mixed in. Loses points for its extreme tartness. Smells better than is tastes. Nothing really great in the end and damn expensive. The 11.5 oz. bottle cost me $4. Aggie80 (708), Michigan, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 31, 2004 Golden color slightly cloudy, with a nice white head and a touch of lacing. Very distinctive flavor of grapefruit and pasteboard with a sour aftertaste. Once is okay, but I won’t buy it again. TBone (6808), Pori, Finland

Hazy yellow, floating yeast particles. Good white head. Aroma is strong: spicey and sour, orange, not very pleasant. Flavor has orange peel spicyness but wheat dominates mouthfeel. Palate is not balanced, this one has some disturbing soapy notes. Aftertaste has orange (again). piscator34 (1131), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 20, 2004 Cloudy gold in colour with an intense grapefruit aroma. Fairly sour and spritzy. It doesn’t really taste like a wit. The fruit flavors overwhelm the spices. Very strange.
