fo: 500ml bottle, 3/9-2006, 83/500 JoeinUccle (601), Brussels, Belgium Mar 10, 2008 Well-balanced black beer, quaffable yet has some character. Half-liter bottle pours black, mahogany highlights, decent tan head. Light, malty nose is sweet, bready, slightly roasty. Lightly sweet flavor fades into a lightly bitter, roasted taste, with pumpernickel, chocolate and fainter coffee notes. Faintly roasty aftertaste. Nice for washing down a burger. Love to try it fresh on draft some day. Thomas_E (4814), Copenhagen, Denmark Feb 21, 2008 Deep reddish colour with a dense beige head. Malty, dark fruity aroma with a light bread note.
