| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 4, 2008 Looks like someone rushed to enter the Wabash line after I’d mentioned it on the threads. No matter. The amber, actually named Wabash Harvest Amber Ale (and I suspect the other beers have "Wabash" in their names, too, as seen on www.wabashbeer.com), has a good looking pour, a clear amber body with a large ecru head that laces heavily. The aroma is a tad too sweet - apples, toffee & caramel - offset by a perfumey floral bouquet. Seems a bit thin, but manages to deliver the sweetness that the nose promises. No real indication of any hops in the flavor. I’ll probably end up trying the other Wabash brand beers, but only if I can do single bottle purchases like I did for this one.
