Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
Ingredients: Pale malt, Crystal malt and cane sugar; Fuggles hops (85% of total) in the copper and Goldings hops (15%) on the hop back plates.
Wadworth have been brewing 6X in their Devizes brewery for over 80 years. This delightful copper-coloured beer has a malty, fruity nose with a restrained hop character. The same characteristics emerge on the palate but with more intensity, leading to a lingering malty finish. The beer is full bodied and distinctive but with a high drinkability, ensuring its position as one of the South of England's most requested beers.

Clingy, off-white cream of a head. Clean as a whistle brown. Lihtly metallic but mainly heavily malted shredded wheat aromas. No hop, no bitterness, no satisfaction. Nothing to it really. Malty, flat and super bland.

Cask at GBBF 2009. Yep, another one of those obvious British beers, I’ve not rated. Deep brown colour, lasting cream head. Distinctive Wadworth yeast aroma. Yeast carries on throughout. Some toffee. Faint hop on finish. Great condition and mostly about the yeast character in this bitter.

Hand-pumped at the George Inn Backwell. A clear copper-brown ale with a small off white head that nevertheless provided decent lacing. Nose of caramel malts and light floral hops. Noticeably fruity on the tongue with hints of marmalade and a gentle malty hop finish. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and a slick mouthfeel. Pretty good but not outstanding.

Source:Cask in London.
Glass:Half pint.
Appearance:Clear amber pour with a soapy, off white head.
Aroma:Malt with grassy hops and earth notes.
Flavor:Grain and grass.
Palate:Light body with typical carbonation.
Overall:Another bitter that I thought was good. Loving the cask ales.

Cask, Goat and Tricycle, Bournemouth. Amber brown with a small head. Aromas are weetabix malts with light berry and some sulphur. Flavours are sweet malts with some light peppery notes. Some icing sugar sweetness. Gently hoppy dry finish.

Sweet caramel aroma with a thin creamy looking head. Amber in colour. Soapy finish. Not the best looked after.
