Commercial Description:
Cask, Special;
Our friends at Wadworth Brewery kindly brewed five beers to new recipes on their microbrewery plant in Devizes. This deep golden beer combines finest pale ale malt and a touch of crystal malt with classic English hops, providing a balanced flavour with a punchy hop kick. Hops used: Fuggles, Goldings

Cask @ Willow Walk, JDW. Victoria SW1. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity citrus hoppy aroma. Fruity malty hoppy flavor. Has a malty hoppy citrus finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Cask Conditioned at J.D. Wetherspoon - Penderel’s Oak, London
Amber color. Besides some caramel flavor, a light yeast presence and very light manure aroma, there is not much to say here. Too simple.

cask at JDW edinburgh ...very disapointing ...amber ... light sweet malt with hop in tail nose... horrible mustyness.

Cask, The Lord Keeper of the Great Seal, Oadby. Amber with a small head. Aromas are toffee malts with spices and sulphur. Flavours are sweet malts with tea and citrus. Some sour notes and slightly resinous. OK but a bit flat.

Cask at the cross keys and the new crown. Alround rating: Caramel, grassy, wet dog, all minimal. Notably boring beast indeed.

Faversham, Brugge-Eve. Golden with white foam. Lovely crisp hop bite, bags of yeast, soggy dough, lingering vanilla. Snort of freshbread maltiness, bit of cask wood, splash of alcohol lets it down. Faint peardroppy esters, garden herby and leafy English hop aroma. Attractive, sweet but slightly biting, malt-driven Bitter. Quite a decent festival opener I thought.

Handpulled cask at JDW Hatch End, Harrow. Light copper with a good white head in fresh lively condition. However, appearences can be deceptive for the flavour let it down. Lacking in all departments. A truly unremarkable ale.
