A bit to bitter for me. I wouldnt place this one in the "oatmeal" class. If so they have skimped on the grain bill. Hops have overtaken a bit too much a tweaking of sourness but not an awful lot. Tolerable. Average carbonation. Nice bottlecap though.

12 oz. bottle. Deep black color, dark brown head and average stout aroma. A bit on the watery side. An okay stout. I’m biased tho cuz I’ve been to the vineyard/brewery.... they do some good bocks. Got a six-pack of this at Consumers, and will have no problem finishing it off.

From my buddy Beastiefan2k by way of Dicksonbeer Pour was dark brown, with a 2 color tan/brown head? That was nice. Nose had some sweet malts, some cream and coffee. Nice lacing as well. Wow! I have no idea how to date this, but there is on absurd off taste, like cough syrup and other medicine. Diactle? Not nearly as good in the mouth as in the nose.

Sample at brewery - Brown liquid with large light tan head, woody nose, smoke notes with an almost watery mouthfeel. Nice.

12-oz.; thanks, Luiss! Pours jet black with a fairly thick, sudsy tannish head. Big chocolate nose with some roast mized in. Sharply bitter attack with a sour finish. Moderate body, moderate carb. A bit of metallic tang toward the finish.

Chocolate, burnt nose, a vague, sweet fruitiness. Reasonable head, light mocha colour, dissipates quickly. Dark, rich colour, very opaque. Light bitterness, doesn’t linger too long, fairly full in the mouth. Moderate carbonation. Didn’t get the sweetness that some mentioned. I enjoyed it.
