hopdog (4657), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 26, 2007 12oz bottle shared courtesy of TomDecapolis). Poured a dark brown color with an averaged sized tan head. Aromas of cocoa, chocolate, roast, and light oats. Tastes of oats, chocolate, and roast. hopscotch (4595), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Aug 31, 2008 Bottle... Pours pitch black with a huge, frothy, well-tanned, everlasting head. Diminishes to a small, permanent, creamy layer. The aroma is all molasses, chocolate and espresso. Full-bodied and very creamy with soft carbonation. Medium-sweet with heaps of molasses and roasted nuts layered over nudges of coffee and chocolate. Deeply roasted, bittersweet finish. A big SHOUT goes out to juiceisloose for passing this surprisingly good beer on to me! Maria (4461), Thisted, Denmark May 1, 2007 Courtesy of Coldbrewky, thank you Steve. Black with a nice, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and some licorice/cough medicine. The flavour has a roasted bitterness and some licorice notes, but IMO it’s body is thin and lack complexity and the nice features of an oatmeal stout. 2037
