Apr 13, 2004 Bottle. Poured with a gigantic tan head. Had all of the good things I love in a stout. Nice and hoppy with a sweet roasted malt taste and a clean yet bitter finish.

Jun 7, 2007 12oz bottle. Pours a beautiful, dark black appearance; cocoa-colored head with excellent retention and lacing. Sweet, cocoa and roasted malts in the aroma; slightly smoky. Medium carbonation. Velvety mouthfeel: cocoa and milk chocolate upfront; some smoke and roasted malts; satisfying density and very drinkable; light hoppiness. Lengthy, dry chocolate and cocoa finish.
VENOM (941), Connecticut, USA
Nov 17, 2002 Opaque dark brown. Thick, frothy dark tan head. Whooshing carbonation. Solid burnt malt aroma and oats and barley with caramel hints intertwined. A little watery initially but deep with black malt flavor and smooth burnt chocolate and oats. Extended burnt malt yet soothing aftertaste. Medium light body. Finishes thicker with a hint of currant fruitiness and bittersweet chocolate, cola syrup. Another brew that got better as it went along.

Jun 12, 2004 Big thick head, almost black in appearance. Very presentable stout. Rather hoppy, roasty aroma, pleasant. Medium bodied, oily, medium chocolate roast. This stout has a good plan but failed to implement.
