Commercial Description:
Bright sunrise orange in color, this American IPA is boldly hopped with East Kent Goldings, Cascade and locally grown hop varieties to give an intense yet powerfully smooth bitterness. The subtle caramel maltiness only accents the citrus hop highlights. Dry hopped with an incredible 2-1/2 pounds per barrel, this American style IPA is handcrafted to be extraordinarily refreshing.

(12 oz bottle, obtained in trade with jah noth, thanks Dan!) The hoppy, grapefruit aroma dominates the nose, and just begs you to take a sip. And who am I to say no?! Ooh, this is a good one. Very flavorful IPA, freshly hoppy and bitter, but with significant malt backbone to balance the strong hoppiness. Mildly sweet. Perhaps a bit of light roasty flavor before the hops finally takes over the finish. Medium body with a big, full mouthfeel and a crisp, hoppy finish. Dark amber in color. Off-white head shows average size and retention, slowly backing off to a sheen and large ring, but lacing is quite plentiful, sticking in large patchy areas around the glass.

Pretty amber brown body. Head is off-white, creamy and evenly thick but disipates rapidly. One of the most fragrant, lucious and enticing smells you will ever get from an IPA. Lots of sweet hops, like honey dew, pine cone and pineapple with some raisins, pit fruit, fresh cut wood qualities. Its all I can do not to just down the thing before I finish typing this sentence. Mouth feel begins a little watery until strong, even flavors permeate. Lots of sweet pine and fruity hops turning roasted and citric with some lemon showing near the end. Damn good beer from a smaller, and lesser known brewery. Sweet and bitter managed wondrously in the aftertaste. Solid. Thanks to my boy Jeremy (jgb9348) for bringing this baby back from NY for me.

Bottle pours amber, slightly hazy, virtually no head, with minor lacing.   Hops, light pine, and some grain or cereal on the nose.   Minor hops on the tongue, but this IPA seems dominated by either spruce tips or a pine like flavor.   Some maltiness, but it comes across as a bit cerealish.   Decent body, okay mouthfeel.   FInishes slightly smokey, some bitterness albeit light, and with minor malts.   Nothing exceptional, but still enjoyable.   Thanks goes out to jah noth for the trade!

overall a good beer. A lot of hop notes in the aroma. The aroma smacked me in the face when i opened the bottle. Not much of a head over its amber body. Flavor was mainly malty ad hoppy.

Pours dark copper, almost ruby red with a medium, creamy off-white head. Aroma of hops, malt, fruit, spice, pine. Tastes malty, hoppy, with a fruity, spicy finish. Medium palate. Finishes hoppy, dry, slightly sour, with a slightly "off....metallic" taste at the finish, which I had to deduct for. A good, but not elite, IPA.

bottle: bronzish amber color, thick head with nice lacing..musty caramel aroma with subtle notes of lemongrass and mint...sweet candyish flavors with much more malt presence than needed or wanted...somewhat stale tasting...

Deep ruby red color, piercing hop flavor. The best IPA that my grocery store carries.

hoppy, definitely has a grapefruit taste, clear but would have expected a slightly lighter color, little more that usual after taste, one of the best on tap values for a growler, overall a good hoppy american IPA microbrew
