Commercial Description:
Bright sunrise orange in color, this American IPA is boldly hopped with East Kent Goldings, Cascade and locally grown hop varieties to give an intense yet powerfully smooth bitterness. The subtle caramel maltiness only accents the citrus hop highlights. Dry hopped with an incredible 2-1/2 pounds per barrel, this American style IPA is handcrafted to be extraordinarily refreshing.

I must preface by saying that I had a glass of very tannic Cabernet previous to drinking this beer, and everyone in the whole wide world knows what I think about IPAs. But this really struck me as a great beer. Not at all balanced like the St Arnold Elissa- just straight hops. But it sure tasted good after that Cabernet.

Tap at Brewtopia, Good nose. Carmel & fruit, orange, apple. Brownish orange color. Sweet bitter flavors. Again carmel, orange, grapefruit too. Thinner bodied with bitter finish. Nice

Brewtopia’04. Lots of grapefruit, my notes are nearly identical to argo0. Has a distinctive citrus pith punch, very east coast IPA-ish. Palate is nicely coating.

(brewtopia) Clear light amber body with minimal off-white head. Aroma is grapefruit, just grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, some toasty. Medium-full body. Fairly 1D, but a good 1D.

Nice dark amber color with a nice white head that leaves a decent lacing on the glass. Aroma had some nice floral hops. Taste was sweet at first then became very bitter towards the end. Slight mineral taste left afterward.

Draught: pours clear amber/brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma: less than usual IPA hops, sweetness (sugar, molasses?), slight malt. Flavor: Not as hoppy as I’d like, more malty sweet than average, caramel. Finishes bitter, dry and not very balanced. Overall not a bad beer, but there are many better IPA’s out there.

The color is a medium brown. The smell is of ?centennial hops. The taste is initally of sweet malt then somewhat of a harsh bitterness. The hops are very nice at the finish. Bittering hops seem to be a bit overpowering. Overall good beer. I had this on tap at MacGregors in Rochester, NY

This one is nothing special, has sort a domestic lager type of taste at times.
