But this really struck me as a great beer. Not at all balanced like the St Arnold Elissa- just straight hops. But it sure tasted good after that Cabernet. OldGrowth (1434), North Carolina, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 21, 2004 Brewtopia’04. Lots of grapefruit, my notes are nearly identical to argo0. Has a distinctive citrus pith punch, very east coast IPA-ish. Palate is nicely coating. argo0 (6998), Washington DC, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 20, 2004 (brewtopia) Clear light amber body with minimal off-white head. Aroma is grapefruit, just grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, some toasty. Medium-full body. Fairly 1D, but a good 1D. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 20, 2004 Nice dark amber color with a nice white head that leaves a decent lacing on the glass. Aroma had some nice floral hops. Taste was sweet at first then became very bitter towards the end. Slight mineral taste left afterward. BuckNaked (1211), Tempe, Arizona, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 16, 2004 Draught: pours clear amber/brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma: less than usual IPA hops, sweetness (sugar, molasses?), slight malt. Flavor: Not as hoppy as I’d like, more malty sweet than average, caramel. Finishes bitter, dry and not very balanced. Overall not a bad beer, but there are many better IPA’s out there. cherr (162), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 12, 2004 The color is a medium brown. The smell is of ?centennial hops. The taste is initally of sweet malt then somewhat of a harsh bitterness. The hops are very nice at the finish. Bittering hops seem to be a bit overpowering. Overall good beer. I had this on tap at MacGregors in Rochester, NY CyclistSarah (15), Ontario, Canada
