Pours a slightly hazy copper amber with an off white fluffy head that left some lacing. Aroma was just a little off at first. Picked up some pine, slight citrus and caramel. Flavor of pine, slight bitterness with some malts to help balance. MarkBarnes (269), Waterville, New York, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 21, 2005 Updated: Oct 8, 2006102105 12 oz bottle. This isn’t *horrible*, it just tastes weird compared to my favorite IPAs. Grapefruity and sicky sweet simultaneously.
Re-rate on June 28, 2006: Had this on tap at Clark’s Ale House in Syracuse, NY; and it was much better than the bottle I had last fall . . .
Re-rate on October 8, 2006: Note -- I’ve had a couple bottles of this go off like an over-carbonated land-mine. Can become impossible to pour without a foot (literally) of styrofoam head, and a waste of time to drink out of the bottle (a "sin" anyway). Never seen anything like it -- a definite turn-off.
