Commercial Description:
Bright sunrise orange in color, this American IPA is boldly hopped with East Kent Goldings, Cascade and locally grown hop varieties to give an intense yet powerfully smooth bitterness. The subtle caramel maltiness only accents the citrus hop highlights. Dry hopped with an incredible 2-1/2 pounds per barrel, this American style IPA is handcrafted to be extraordinarily refreshing.

Butterscotch, butter aromas are strong up front. Orange, floral hops emerge with a moderate cabbagey, creamed corn notes. Off aromas dissipate after some time or the nose becomes acclimated. Deep, burnished copper with thin but lasting cover of off-white head that leaves a slight, sudsy lacing. Vegetal flavour with some oily butter. Strong bitterness and orange-blossom hop flavour with sugary sweet malts. Medium body with fair carbonation is somewhat slick in the mouth. Not unpleasant but not altogether good and definitely not characteristic for style. Bottle (trade - May, 2005) sampled with Olivier_MTL. Thanks, jah noth!

This beer is a copper color with a thin, foamy egg-shell colored head. The nose has a solid citrus hop aroma. It leaves a nice lacing on the side of the glass. The flavors are of orange peel bitterness, apple sauce sweetness and a lingering grapefruit bitterness in the finish. Maybe a little thin up front, but a very nice IPA.

from a 12 oz longneck Visually quite attractive, but not really what I expect from an IPA. Its a slighly murky, light brown colour with orangy tinges..small off white head, leaves nice lacing. It has the usual IPA aromas, though a little subdiued also a slight honeyish scent. Unusual taste, very sweet then a nice hop bitterness...though this seems to balance rather weell for an American IPa, remeinds me a bit of some of the British IPA/Golden ales. Pretty darn nice on the tongue..smooth..long lasting after taste. Quite a nice IPA, rather different than the usual PNW IPA, but If i had to compare it would be akin to Bridgeport IPA. Thanks again to Jah Noth for this beer.

Thx to eyedrinkale! Poured nice coppery brown, with thin head. Very floral hop aroma, with whiffs of sweet malt. Nice malty and btiter flavor, and I thought they balanced well.

Poured a bit thin, with little to no head, but has a great coppery colour that really appeals for an IPA. The hops are prominent, as they should be, both in the nose and the flavour, but don’t result in an overly bitter beer. It’s a good, bracingly refreshing beer, perfect for chili and the Super Bowl (as it was had). Extremely well balanced.

bottle. Poured a redish orange color with a small off-white head. Very hoppy aroma. Thin bodied but perfect for this beer. Sweet and smooth all the way through the finish where it becomes slightly bitter. Fruity flavors are present but I can’t put my finger on it.Although the body is thin to start it even thins out more at the end and becomes quite watery. Decent beer, defiantly have had better IPA’s.

12oz bottle: This beer pours a crystal clear coppery amber color. It had a strong off-white head, that laces down the glass. The aroma is a nice hoppy grapefruit nose. The taste has a hint of sweetness in the background, with a strong grapefruit hop bite to the taste. A slight dryness to the finish. A very good beer!
