Commercial Description:
In the 1800s Mill Creek in Lodi was home to several mills where local farmers brought their grain to be ground. Mill Street, named after the creek, inspired the name for our Pilsner. Our Mill Street Pilsner is a pale, straw-colored dry lager distinguished by the spicy aroma and flavor of Czech Saaz hops.

Gold pour with almost no head or lace. Aroma is corn like and wet paper. Flavor is sweet corn and light paper. No bitter to speak off. A drinkable beer.

Clear golden coloured body with a frothy white head. Aroma of metal, light hops and very light malt - perhaps with a bit of citrus. Light-bodied; Sharp pungent taste of malt, funky metal and some citrus, with a bit of a sweetness near the end. Aftertaste shows some floral essences, corn, metal and some light off-flavours. Overall, not such a great offering, and worth trying something else. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Half Time in Poughkeepsie on 11-June-2009, sampled on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on July Fourth, 2009.

Bottle: Poured a yellow color with a thin head. The aroma was grass and malts. The flavor was small hops, hint of caramel, and corn. Overall, just OK.

Could have been a solid pilsner (I want to say that the hop profile was close to perfect) but had this very distracting extract-like twang to it. Oh well, not bad for a brewery attached to a winery.

Went to Waltkins Glenn today and stopped At Wagner Brewery to have lunch at the Ginny Lee on way back. The draft looked kind of strange as it had plenty of large bubbles in glass but no real head on top. Some hops in aroma and flavor, but no spices shinning through. Average.

12oz bottle, from brewery. Pours a clear yellow gold body with a small fizzy white head that had minimal retention. Crackery maltiness with a fairly minimal hop accent, a little grassy. The flavor is pale doughy and crackery malts with just the slightest bit of bitterness on the back end. Pretty lacking in flavor, with some corn sweetness coming out a little more as it warmed up. Light bodied, a little thin, with fizzy prickly carbonation. Not an especially good effort with this one, this is barely a rung above most BMC products in terms of character.

Bottle. Golden with quick disapering head. Light flavor. Nice offering for a beer billed as light. Easy drinking and smooth.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber/yellow with a bubbly white head. Light caramel malt aroma, a bit of apple, and spicy/herbal hops. Medium body. Flavor is again, caramel, apple, and spicy/herbal hops. This is actually a pretty good beer.
