Commercial Description:
In the 1800s Mill Creek in Lodi was home to several mills where local farmers brought their grain to be ground. Mill Street, named after the creek, inspired the name for our Pilsner. Our Mill Street Pilsner is a pale, straw-colored dry lager distinguished by the spicy aroma and flavor of Czech Saaz hops.

Bottle (12oz). Poured very bubbly deep gold with a huge fizz-bubble white head. Dry, acrid aroma, like scorched lemon juice and weeds. The taste is dry, sharp, sour - weedy and bitter. Average body, way too sour and astringent, burningly carbonated - sour aftertaste - I’d say the bottle had gone off, but I’ve had other beers from them and they were less than good.

I see I’m the first person to rate this beer - I’m honored. It’s very bitter, quite frankly, and it caught me by surprise. Crisp and a bit disappointing in flavor.

Wandered into Wagner Valley by accident, while on a Finger Lakes wine tour with my dad. Lliked the pilsner when I had it at the brewery tasting. Found that it conformed to the parameters of the style: hoppy, crisp, fresh, and quaffable. Dry nose, straw-colored, sudsy head. Good mouthfeel.

12oz bottle, from brewery. Pours a clear yellow gold body with a small fizzy white head that had minimal retention. Crackery maltiness with a fairly minimal hop accent, a little grassy. The flavor is pale doughy and crackery malts with just the slightest bit of bitterness on the back end. Pretty lacking in flavor, with some corn sweetness coming out a little more as it warmed up. Light bodied, a little thin, with fizzy prickly carbonation. Not an especially good effort with this one, this is barely a rung above most BMC products in terms of character.

Clear golden coloured body with a frothy white head. Aroma of metal, light hops and very light malt - perhaps with a bit of citrus. Light-bodied; Sharp pungent taste of malt, funky metal and some citrus, with a bit of a sweetness near the end. Aftertaste shows some floral essences, corn, metal and some light off-flavours. Overall, not such a great offering, and worth trying something else. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Half Time in Poughkeepsie on 11-June-2009, sampled on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on July Fourth, 2009.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear, orangish yellow color; off-white head with great retention and lacing. Light aroma: slightly floral with mild citrus. While this starts off quite pleasant (as a crisp, flavorful pilsner) there’s an intense, unpleasant bitterness that quickly creeps through, overwhelming an otherwise pleasant, sugary and chewy pilsner; disappointing after the first few sips. Lengthy, bitter finish.

(bottle - 12 oz) Light golden color with a small white head. Aroma is very light with a fair amount of hops and citrus. Flavor is very sweet and cloying with some sourness and hops laced throughout. Watery finish and a very strange aftertaste.

My first introduction to Wagner ,I enjoyed this beer for what it was,a medicore pilsner at best. Nothing outstanding about it,although nothing horrible even despite it’s diacetyl bite. I would drink another one if I had it, but I wouldn’t go looking for it.
