Commercial Description:
Sled Dog is a very malty, full-bodied lager brewed with lots of Munich, dark caramel and chocolate malts, and Northern Brewer and Tettnang hops. The flavors start out with caramel and chocolate and finish with just a touch of hops. Available September-April

Malt lover's delight. Bottle. Pours a deep reddish orange with a light tan head. Subdued malty aroma with alcohol and hints of fruit. Big sticky malty flavor that lingers. Alcohol blends well. This has some very good German malt character to it.

Bottle 355 ml
Appearance :Lovely deep amber – copper run trough ruby color. Classic stylistically look with small top.
Nose :Rich aroma, plenty of malt, golden, toffee, woody with light touch of hops. With time more of a fruity character is shown blended with alcohol. 7+
Flavour/Palate : Medium bodied. Straight malt base with hops only found at finish. Smooth, even to smooth. Clean, well brewed. I got feeling that this bock was waiting proper length in tanks.

deep brown, beige head. aroma of mixed berry candy, cola, mild chocolate and roast. very very very sweet on the palate and virtually no bitterness. not a bad mix of flavours, just seems to fail to come together.

Dark Auburn. Sweet starburst candy-like aroma, light alcohol, sweet malt. The body is thick with malt and quite sweet with a bit of yeast. Sharp malty bite, light hops towards end, too sharp and sweet, not a fan.

Defiant brown rum notes conjure up compliant candies...An earthy licorice centipede slowly traces its way through the creamy, sweet alcohol...Grassy hops spice things up, but the malt flavors sadly disappear and end in a fizzy, harsh and almost tasteless end...

Deep ruby w/ light beige head. Sweet, slightly fruity, somewhat toasty aroma. Thin palate. Very sweet caramel & licorice flavour w/ strong alcohol presence.

Bottle. Pours dark ruby colour, fairly still with not much in the way of head. Sweet and slightly toffeeish with a lot of warming alcohol notes that distract from an otherwise nice, but overly sweet brew. Many thanks to IPFreely for the pick up.

Bottle: The beer pours a deep, ruby red color. Not a lot of carbonation, but it has a bit of a tan head, although it didn’t last long. Big malt sweetness to the nose. Hints of caramel. Taste is sweet, almost syrupy. Hints of fruit and chocolate? No discernable hops in the taste of the nose. Somewhat warming. Not a bad brew at all, just not anything that stands out. Draught: had the draft at the brewery. A touch of roastiness that I hadn’t previously noticed. I don’t know if it was the freshness or an evolution of the recipe, but it is a bit better in my latest tasting.
