Poured a reddish mahogany color with a thin, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, roast, some soy (similar, but much more enjoyable than Sam Adams TB), dried fruits, wood, and vanilla. Taste of chocolate and roast, some nuts, vanilla oak, and dark fruits, notably cherries, with just a faint presence of alcohol. A real nice beer, thanks for sharing weeare138!

A good looking beer with a light earthy aroma. The dark red/brown brew cleary showed my fingers through the glass. the head was small and tan and didn’t last long. It was sweet, a fruity sweet that was on the cloying side. It was full bodied, but not robust. Lightly hopped, perhaps too lightly to overcome. Some how it lacked balance. It had an ever so slight sour aftertaste.

Cloudy reddish-brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is malty sweet, with molasses, tobacco, nuts, and dark fruit. Full bodied, with a smooth mouth feel. Surprisingly dry finish for a brew that starts sweet. Very complex - there is a lot going on in this brew. Way better than the doppelbock.

Bottle. Thanks to jsquire for sharing this one. Poured a small tan head that was mostly lasting, fine-large sized bubbles, transparent, and a reddish brown hue. Malty, caramel, sweet, and fruity aroma. Flavor was sweet, malty, caramel, some fruityness, and vinuous. Palate was smooth and enjoyable. Medium body. Worth a try!

Brewtpoia, This was a very nice dopplebock. The ABV was hidden and The malts and caramel were sweet and pleasant. Full finish.

This is a good Doppelbock. Malty, caramel, and plum flavors. Finishes rich, chewy, and smooth.

Deep red/ruby color and a decent sized frothy, off white head. Sweet sugars, malts, dark fruits and some alcohol in the aroma. The taste was very malty to say the least. Plums, rasins, sugary sweetness and lots of alcohol. Thick mouthfeel. This was a more condensed version of the dopplebock indeed Thanks to JSquire for this one.
