Dark Brown, huge tan head that settles down fairly quickly. Toast and smoke on the aroma, and a nice malty flavor. A hint of maple flavor throughout, with just a hint of hop dryness at the finish. Not bad - thanks Springslicker!

This pours almost black with a gigantic mocha colored head that seethes and writhes! The aroma of this beast is dark caramel with a hint of maple and smoke. I’m going to have to wait for this head to die down so I can taste it! The taste is sweet with a nice roast bitterness that finishes sweet. Body is a little thin, but htis is very drinkable and not a bad change of pace.

Brown with lighter brown head. Aroma was pretty roasty along with some caramel/maple sweetness. Smokiness fades a little in the flavor but is still noticable, some caramel sweetness. A little lighter bodied but smooth and doesn’t detract too much. I’d drink again.

(Draught) Pours a thin, almonde head and a deep reddish body. Nose of roasted malt. Flavour is far too sweet. Bland and without imagination.

Very roasted aroma. Thin and dark plum in color. Sugary sweetness is balanced by some strong roasted malts. Very watery and pedestrian.

Rum-spiked light roastiness which communicates its bitterness...Puny malt which lacks depth...Where’s the maple?...Way too easy for a porter and not interesting enough to be a worthy novelty item...Reach for Saranac’s Caramel Porter to see how interesting a sweet porter can get...
