i liked this porter. it was a very dark brown. with a nice dark tan head that stayed all the way thru. The aroma had a hint of hops along with a nice roasted smell. its very smooth goin down and you can definately taste the hint of maple syrup along with the smoke flavor. i’ll definately pick these up again.

The color was fantismal. The head looked like some frothy clay water. I was pumped at the very beggining. I could certainly taste maple. it was thick. like walking through mud. But it was wicked. Great beer. great beer to be number ONE HUNDRED!!! yeah baby!!!! you like that? Wheres my medal?

Pours beautfully: deep dark, almost black, with a small tan head. Aroma is lots of maple, and some roasted malt. The flavor is very malty, with sweet syrup and molasses, maybe a little chocolate, and some bitter coffee at the end. Palate is slightly creamy and smooth. Not your typical porter, and quite enjoyable!

12oz bottle from my buddy beastiefan2k. Pour was very thick and dark brown, creamy head, dark tan, left very thick lacing. Nose was big= lots of caramel and sweet syrup hints. Ah, now the taste very thick mouth feel. There was sweet syrup and molasses, some roasted bits, and a fine hop tail. Very nice brew here, one I would love to drink again.

Bottle. Via beastiefan2k. POurs black with reddish hues. Big tan head. Chocolate aromas, roast malt and an almost lager-like yeast smell. Sweet flavor with the maple syrup very evident and up-front. Burnt sugar, smoke and a decent, understated bitterness. Smokey finish.

Dark deep brown/red. Thin but persisten head and lace. Nose is roasty and smokey malt. Some caramel like sweetness noticed as well. A bit on the thin side but holds the flavors well. Smooth roasted malts, caramel like backbone, maybe a touch of maple and coffee. Decent hop presence finishing things up. Good porter, balanced and drinkable.
