500ml bottle - gift from Fin - thanks! Shared with our host in Copenhagen, a closet beer nerd who really appreciated the chance to taste some English ales, so thanks from him as well!<br /> Black, beige head. Burnt stout aroma. Drying bitterness in the mouth, but also quite refreshing. Burntness dominates the finish.

Pours a v.dark brown with little. aromas of blackcurrant and strong roasted malt backing. matches the usual flavours with more roastiness, coffee bean and ashy feel, fairly dry...just a little on the thin and short side

(6/29/08) Bottle sample at RBESG08 grand tasting in Plzen. Black-colored beer. Aroma of roasted malt and some espresso. Sweet roasty flavor that continues drier. Medium-bodied.

Bottled @ RBESG Grand Tasting 2008. Hazy and very dark brown in colour with a small head. A bit on the thin and sharp side - notes of dark fruit, herbs and chocolate.
