henrikb (1129), Aarhus, Denmark Oct 11, 2008 Bottle - Black body with a brown edge, big bubbled beige head; Super balanced big mellow nose, deep and complex; Very thin body, texture is like a pilsner with more sweetness and only a little bitterness; Tons of aroma in finish that again has a Pilsner texture, quite bitter, fruity fresh. Very very special. FatPhil (2365), Espoo, Finland Sep 21, 2008 500ml bottle - gift from Fin - thanks!
Shared with our host in Copenhagen, a closet beer nerd who really appreciated the chance to taste some English ales, so thanks from him as well!<br />
Black, beige head. Burnt stout aroma. Drying bitterness in the mouth, but also quite refreshing. Burntness dominates the finish. KimJohansen (4296), Copenhagen V, Denmark Sep 3, 2008 Almost black with tiny short lasting head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and coffe notes. Flavour likewise with chocolate aswell. Ends dry and mild bitter. greenmanalishi (216), Leicestershire, England Aug 19, 2008 Updated: Oct 8, 2008Pours a v.dark brown with little. aromas of blackcurrant and strong roasted malt backing. matches the usual flavours with more roastiness, coffee bean and ashy feel, fairly dry...just a little on the thin and short side DSG (867), Yuvalim, Israel Aug 9, 2008 (6/29/08) Bottle sample at RBESG08 grand tasting in Plzen.
