Pours a very dark brown with a thin head. Nose is malty and a little bit sour, but not as malty as the colour conjured in my head. Almost mild maltiness. Some fruitiness here, but a bit thin. Mouthfeel is a little bit fizzy, and a bit drying, but light on the palate. Quite good.

Sweet honey glazed smoked ham and then a burnt finish. Really good, interesting but a little thin. I think this is a grand beer. cgarvieuk (4198), Edinburgh, Scotland

Aromas are earthy malts, smoky with chocolate and some herbal notes. Flavours are chocolate malts with some citrus tang.
