May 4, 2009 On tap at KLCC microbrew festival. Pours out a copper/amber shade with a medium sized white head. Aroma is caramel malt with some citrus and pine aroma. Flavor much the same, this one is too malty for my own personal tastes.

Apr 12, 2009 This IPA is another winner from Wakonda. Tasted this at their Tap Room last night and I have to say I am becomming a fan of this beer. The hearty citrus hop aroma is mirrored in the flavor with every sip. A balanced malt structure supports the hops to create a very drinkable IPA which invites another pint! I’ve got to get a growler of this!!

Aug 15, 2008 On tap at Horse Brass Pub, Portland. Golden mahogany in colour, slight receding tan head. This IPA is flanked by a nice malty mouthfeel and a satisfyingly smooth caramel sweet finish.

Jul 31, 2008 Pint - Beachcomber Tavern - Florence, OR
Aroma – Nice hops aroma with good malt balance.
Appearance – Amber in color, hazy with a thin head.
Flavor – A nice well balanced beer with great malts and the hops came out very nice.
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, great texture with a good dry finish.
Overall – A great IPA for the night. I needed to try a good beer it had been a few days and the beer was just what the doctor had ordered.

Feb 13, 2008 Draft @ KLCC Microbrew Festival: Light copper color with a small off-white head. Light aroma of citrus and pine, hints of malt. Flavorful with florals and citrus hops, some caramel malt to balance. Finished a bit sour with florals.

Feb 12, 2007 KLCC brewfest ’07. Not a well done IPA in my opinion, was to resiny, green, without a strong floral character. This brew tasted like chewing on hop cones directly, to bitter and green. Tastes like they pushed this beers timetable to make the festival, needs time to sit and mellow a bit.

Jan 13, 2006 Updated: Feb 27, 2006ON tap @ Cornucopia - This is one of the better local IPAs that I have tried in the time that I have spent in Oregon. Lots of rich brown sugar sweetness upfront, some herbal hoppiness, sweet malts and but overly very well balanced that does not let a shade of the alcohol come shining through. Extremely tasty!
