Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is metallic ala salami in a picnic box. (140308)

Jan 14, 2008 Bottle, 7.0%. Dusty aroma, bread, sweet malt. Clear dark orange colour, quite pale for a Doppelbock. Very small tan head. Bready flavour, slightly sweet but balanced OK by the alcohol. Malty enough, but not spectacular.

Sep 2, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Clear, dark amber golden with an off-white head. Fat, malty and caramelish. Quite full-bodied with sweetish roasted malt and caramel. Rounded and very well balanced with a moderate bitterness. 180807

Aug 23, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours clear amber with lacing white head. Mix of grainy and rasin note in the aroma. Classic bock grain flavour with a dry raisin whiff. Dry malty dried fruity note into the finish.

A very pleasant, "light" Doppelbock........
