Probably THE BEST strong ale I’ve ever had, and I’ve had many. If your a fan of Strong Ales this is a must! Full bodied with a very light fruity taste and a kick.

A very fruity and yet nicely malty strong ale. Not quite well balanced, but yet very drinkable and quite tasty. A nice hop bitterness kicks in on the finish, great lingering flavors on the palate.

Horse Bass, Portland, July 2004. Dark red with a spicy nose, moderate wood notes with some bready spices and nutmeg. Very mild flavors but still strong.

Medium brown color. Small head. Aroma is malty, fruity and sweet. A medium to full bodied Strong Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are grapefruity and citrusy. Smooth taste. Nicely balanced. Nice sweet finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

RBSG 2004, on tap: Clear orange with a frothy head. Citrus (orange) bubble-gum and plums in the aroma, starts and ends lightly sweet. Full boded, chewy, with lively carbonation. Ends with a long sweet aftertaste.
