On tap at Bailey’s TapRoom Portland OR. Pours out a dark amber topped with a small tan head. Aroma of sweet pit fruit, spice, and some belg yeast. Tast was more of the same but a nice roast malt to go with the yeast.

I’m a rookie when it comes to Belgian-style ales, but this one grabbed me in a good way. Having tried this one, I’m craving more from the genre.

On tap at Walking Man. Despited not liking the name, this one was another solid beer from this establishment. Color was auburnish. Aroma had a good amount of fruit esters, with some sweet malt and wheat/banana. Flavor was sweet wheat/banana and fruit. A bit of hops in the finish. A nice brew, that was drinkable.

Draft @ the brewpub. Billed as a Belgian Red, this was smooth and drinkable. These guys don’t make a bad beer.

Light brown with small head. Spicy belgian yeast in the aroma and taste. A bit of dark fruit in the taste, but not overpowering. Light and drinkable. Solid attempt.

Tap: Dark brown, light head and lacing. Nose of fruity belgian yeast and plummy ethanol notes. The flavor is sweet, balanced, very malt. Finishes clean and malty. Nice belgian from walking man.

Appealing rubyish amber hue w. crisp head. Mild yeasty zing in the nose. Decent yeasty flavor, bready, slight pepperiness, with a fruit loop finish. Somewhat dry, fruity finish.
