| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 17, 2009 Rich amber with brief head. Dusty beer house malted body, wtih a candi malt flavor and hints of diacetyl. Dryish barley finish that is a bit sweet. Moderately hopped. This brown ale is a bit off-kilter for my tastes. jimbowood (983), Athens, Georgia, USA

Aroma is great caramel sweet ssweetness followed by a near perfect roast note. Appearance is clear amber brown with a well maintained cream colored head. Flavor is roast malt with a sweet/sour bready character forward followed by very low bittering. Mouthfeel is medium-high bodied with a moderate carb texture. Overall, quite good, but I wish this tasted as well as it smelled. BiddleBrau (335), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 9, 2008 Tap... Poured dark ruby with NO head. Faint, malt aroma. Tasted like a straight up, mellow amber ale. Candy and malt dominate the flavors and with minimal hops. Also tasted like it was brewed with sulfur water. This one fell short for me for being from Walking Man. Maybe it was a bad tap. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Nov 12, 2007 Sampled a pint of this one on draught at the brewpub in Stevenson, WA. This beer pours to a beautiful, bright, chestnut brown color, with a thick, creamy, white head, and a good carbonation. The nose on this beer is very inviting, with good aromas of nutty and toasty malt, paired with some piney hops. The palate is firm with good sweet and nutty malt flavor, This beer finishes with really good nutty malt flavors up front, then ends with a nice piney smack of hop bitterness that lingers. Excellent example of American Brown Ale. I really enjoyed the malt and hop character of this beer, and both shine in this beer. A nice session beer, and a very food friendly one as well.
