Pours a deep brown black with minimal tan head. Aroma is wonderful, a fresh cherry with a hint of chocolate. Unfortunately, taste doesn’t measure up, as it is rather medicinal, with a cough syrup like ending.

Deep black pour, big tan head. Wonderful aroma of black cherries and malt. Very natural aroma betrayed by very artificial flavor; almost medicinal. Decent, but not as good as promised by the first impression.

On tap at Henry’s Taproom in Portland on 6/26/09. Pours black with nice mocha head. Great cherry aroma with touch of chocolat e and coffee. Interesting sweetness with a smokey bitter finish.

Draft in Portland, Oregon. What can you say? Dark and syrupy, no head, thick chocolate and coffee flavors. A little bit of cherry in the aftertaste.

draft at collins. pours nearly jet black with a modest and short lived tan disc on top. nice sweet candyish cherry nose. some roasty chocolate there as well. nice creamy medium body with lowish carb. big cherry flavor with a lot of roast. should be chocolate instead of roast imo. ends really really dry ashy and bitter. too dark and acetic.

Tap at Naked City. Aroma of tart black cherry over a bed of roasted malt and coffee. Pours dark brown with red hues and a thin head. Up front cherry juiciness followed by some dry roast and bitter chocolate notes. Lingering tart/dry finish.

Sampled @ Horsebrass Pub. I love Walking Man’s beers and this one was nice, but a little heavy on the cherries and a little too tart for me.

Black with browned head. Intense whiff of cherry and roast barley from the glass. Juicy smooth mouthfeel and lack of carbonation are the most prominent weakness to this beer. Medium cherry flavor with some roast character.
