blackmurder (164), sadf, Hawaii, USA May 10, 2008 Aroma is fine if you like black cherry or pepsi. Taste is fine if you like cherry pepsi. Pour is fine if you like cherry pepsi. You get the idea.
anders37 (2752), Malmö, Sweden Oct 4, 2008 Draught @ Horse Brass Pub, Portland. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a sweetish malty cherry aroma with hints of chocolate. Sweetish roasted malty chocolate and cherry flavor. Has a sweet roasted malty chocolate finish with lots of cherries in the aftertaste. Bradrcr (617), Renton, Washington, USA Aug 31, 2008 7/19/08 On draught at the Brewpub. Aroma is just like cherry coke with an underlying caramel note. Appearance is nearly black with a moderate maintained tan head. Flavor is great cherry sweetness forward with a very even roast balance. Mouthfeel is full bodied with a very low carb texture. Overall, quite cool, and slightly artificial. buzzoven (154), Japan Aug 15, 2008 Unbelievable cherry chocolate aromas from this pint of pitch black madness. When served cold, the fizzy mouthfeel and nicely roasted malted flavour guaranteed smooth drinking ahead. But once this brew warms up, it just becomes a mess. The flavour turns slightly sour and acidic and the cherry aspect that was so appealing in the aroma turns into flat Cherry Coke or even worse, fruity antacid tablets! Too bad, this started off interesting. My advice: drink it fast or order a 1/2 pint. ndubs360 (57), portland, Oregon, USA Aug 15, 2008 a dark black stout with a tan/brown head. aroma of black cherries and nothing else. the cherries are a little too much, wish i could have tasted a little more beer, but nonetheless, a great brew. NoiZe (947), Zeist, Netherlands Aug 14, 2008 Tasted @ Horse Brass Pub in Portland.
Black colored brew. Aroma of cherries. Bittersweet flavor with fruity, cherry, taste. Some roasted malts, some coffee and chocolate as well. Pretty decent, but a bit too much on the cherries.
