franksnbeans (265), Rockville, Maryland, USA Dec 29, 2007 Pours a light apricot amber with a thick white head. Smells of juicy Simcoe, earthy, and almost peach. Big hops in the mouth, nicely balaced with some caramel malt. Very smooth and easy to sip away on. A tasty brew.
spikester (438), Salem, Oregon, USA Oct 2, 2008 From a growler fill at the brewery today. Only my second go at Walking Man products. Pours hazy amber with an off-white head that is half of the glass. Second pour was almost half the glass! Lots of lacings. The usual fine Northwest flavor profile. Bitter grapefruit-orange-resinous piney hops. A good amount of malt flavor. Aroma is piney hops. There is an earthiness in the palate. More complex flavor than most Northwest brews. Nice dry, bitter finish. I think this is a fresh batch as the beer board at the brewpub said "back at last". Very satisfying beer. So far two fine beers from W.M. in tiny Stevenson, Washington. (the other was Pale Strider Pale Ale) I shall return. Bradrcr (617), Renton, Washington, USA Aug 24, 2008 7/19/08 On draught at the Brewpub. Aroma is sweet citrus forward with sweet caramel malt. Appearance is hazy gold with a moderate white head. Flavor is earthy, a little harsh, with very low sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly starchy. Overall, much easier drinking than the description suggests, but the flavors don’t balance very well. bitbucket (1570), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jul 3, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Pours clear copper with a dense head that produces sheets of off-white lace. Toffee, fruit and citrus nose. Caramel and fruit taste. Bittersweet finish that is both earthy and floral. BuckeyeBoy (1181), Boise, Idaho, USA Jun 22, 2008 Growler from Walking Man Pours out a cloudy copper topped with a off white head. A very nice hop aroma. Tast of hops and sweet caramel. i also picked up some malt. A nice ASA riversideAK (1648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jun 20, 2008 Dark copper with a bubbly head. Aromas of caramel and toasted malt, toffee, and a light sweetness. Flavor starts out malty with caramel, toast, nuts, butter, vanilla all with a floral, peppery, and light bitter fruit finish.
