ZiggyG (129), Gladstone, Oregon, USA Aug 9, 2008 On tap at The Muddy Rudder. Pours straw yellow, small head that dissipates to a film of lace. Nose is pretty hoppy, not as much as some other APAs. Taste is pretty strong citrus hops nice and crisp, not much malt to balance it out, so even though the beer is pretty light the hops bite. Palate is pretty light but good for the style. DA (2425), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Aug 6, 2008 On tap at the PDX Green Dragon. Pours orange, very clear, with a smooth white head. Very floral hopped pale, grapefruit citrus hops in the nose and finish. Dry and crisp with a good sweet/bitter balance. bitbucket (1542), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jul 3, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Pours clear light amber with a white head that leaves walls of lace. Light body and carbonation. Lots of fruit in the nose, with some citrus. Light body and carbonation. Sweet fruit, citrus and toffee taste that finishes clean and dry. BillKismet (1410), Seattle, Washington, USA May 3, 2008 Brassy-bronze color with crisp head. Spicy hop nose. Atypical APA for the PNW as it lacks a C-hop emphasis, but quite pleasing. Easy hop flavor with some fruitiness, spiciness, and a mild floral note. Mildly dry finish. An excellent session APA, that is moderately flavored with an interesting hop medley and spiciness. riversideAK (1583), Shoreline, Washington, USA Feb 29, 2008 Tap at Brouwers. Poured amber gold with a thin head and great lacing. Aroma of fruity biscuity malt with a touch of citrus and floral hops. Nice and malty, but not too sweet. A pleasant drinker with a clean and mild bitter floral/citrus finish.
