These guys are good. There is no way to tell that this beer is as strong as it is. Rich head with tight small bubbles. Deep garnet colored. Aroma is amazing!!! Rich clove, ripe banana, caramel, slight dark fruit (plum). The aroma stays for the entire show. Flavor delivers all of the above in order. Then the alcohol comes. Just enough to clear my palate and make me take another drink. Only thing that got me, was it tasted a little heavy. Aventinus says what?

A doppelweizenbock brewed up by the folks at Walking Man. Served on tap at the brewery in a tall pilsener/wheat style glass. The beer is deep brown in color and impeccably clear. Slight ruby notes show when backlit. A dense, creamy light-khaki head sits atop the beer composed of tiny bubbles. Fair lacing is left behind in a sheeting manner. Fruity bananna aroma, some cherry? perhaps plum. Medium bodied with a pleasant carbonation level. Pleasantly malty, moderate amounts of alcohol burn, sweetness, plummy and a moderate hop balance towards the finish. LIngering notes of ripe bananna. Easy drinking, too easy for 9.2%. Kudos!

Rating #300!!!....only right that it should be a Walking Man, probably my favorite WA brewpub! On tap at Brouwer’s. Almost clear dark red. Amazing aroma and taste. Banana, roasted malts and mild dark fruit. Good thickness. I will be making sure to visit this brewpub in the next month.

On tap at Walking Man brewpub. A big beer with flavors of banana, clove, plum and raisen. Thick mouthfeel hides the high alcohol content. My favorite WM beer.

On tap at concordia tap house. Pours very dark brown with a tall off-white head. Big ol banana/clove spicy nose. Flavor is a great blend of sweet fruits, caramel, chocolate, and spicy finish. Delicious beer that was very similar to adventinus. Walking man really makes some of the best beers in the NW, this is another example of incredible beers coming out of that brewery.

Tap at Brouwer’s Cafe. Deep brown beer with a thick off-white head. Nice sweet toasty chocolate aroma, light cooked banana esters. Toasty and chocolatey flavour, very creamy sweet body. Toffeeish, big banana flavour, some apple and other sweet fruits. Great malt complexity, easy to drink beer with a nice warming finish.

On Tap at the brewpub. Deep redish brown with little to no head and only slight wispy lacing. Aroma was a wonderfull medley of mulled spices, raisons, brown sugar and toasted malts. Flavor was equally coplex and interesting with a pronounced german weizen yeast note in the mix. Softly carbonated but a very fine and slick feel. Hides the ABV quite well though there is a slight late burn. Most interestingbeer ive had in a long time.

Dark mahogany chestnut color, no head, light ring of lacing. Nose of plum, fig, raisin, peanut, alcohol and spruce. The flavor is creamy with a sweet toasty, chewy body and a spicy fruit and herb background. Finish is dusty but steady and sweet, yum. Borderline too much herbs and spruce notes but keeps it down to an enjoyable level.
