22oz Bottle, labeled as "Apearently Cherry" in the Commemorative Holiday Beer Series ’08. May not be the same beer. Light reduced pear sauce, light cherry juice, and a bit of firm bacon. Clear peach-red and rose, with a rim in white. Flavor is a tangy, fruit-backed sugar mess. A bit skunky and slightly off. Salty. Generally, a fruit beer that’s just all over the map. Lightly vinous and quiet. Slighty yeast character runs amok. Finishes on a mix of gum and spice hop resin.

On tap at Walldorff. Hazy light brown body, thin off-white head. Light, tannic fruit skin aroma. Earthy, spicy cherry skin body, spicy and somewhat funky (but not sour), backed by bready malt. The complexity of the cherry fruit, rather than residual sugars, dominates the flavor profile. One of the better-done cherry ales I’ve sampled.
