| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 25, 2009 On cask: Pours a nearly opaque black with a creamy dark tan head. Aroma of sweet milk chocolate and dark caramel with some roasty coffee character. Body is rich and creamy with good dark malty sweetness and chocolate flavors. Well balanced with bittersweet dark chocolate and flavor hops before a smooth, flavorful, lingering roasty chocolate finish. A very nice stout, especially on cask. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
