Draught at Walnut Brewery in Boulder. Cloudy brown - white head. Banana, wheaty, caramel, roasted, sweetness, fruity, light spicy, ryebread. OK - not my style....

Draft. Dark brown with a muddy hazed body and an off-white head. Prickly Belgian-style yeast up front - brown sugar, creamed banana, some oranges, clove, etc, it’s all in there, no doubt, but it’s really not all that integrated and just doesn’t work with an overly acidic yeast character that stings the tongue throughout the drink.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy orange coloured with a small off white head. Fruity aroma of caramel and bananas. Fruity flavour of bananas with notes of caramel and overriped bananas. Fruity finish.

Draught, Walnut Brewery. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is murky medium brown. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, caramel), with light notes of banana, clove, dirt, hint of fish. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, husky, unclean. Uhhhhmmm....no. A few fleeting hints of expected stylistic aromas wallow amid off notes. Poor aftertaste. Not a representative example of Dunkelweizen.

id say this beer was an average hefe weizen with some color. i believe the abv was around 5. dark brown in color with tan head. nose of bananas and spice. flavor continues through with the nose, possibly a bit thin on the palate. overall pretty good.
