Walnut Brewery Oktoberfest

Draught at Walnut Brewery in Boulder. Clear deep red - no head. High red berries, sweetness, ryebread, caramel, high sweetness, mould, earthy, light hoppy, roasted, nice malty. Very low carbonated.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear orange coloured with a medium sized off white head. Sweet aroma of fruits, malts and caramel. Sweet and fruity flavour of malts and caramel with notes of hops and liquorice. Hoppy finish.

on tap-pours a thin white head and copper color. Aroma is sweet medium malt. Taste is sweet medium malt-caramel, smokey, mild hops. OK/mild carbonation.

Draught. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is dark amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted bread, cookie, caramel), lightly to moderately hoppy (apricot, flowers). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. Decent quaffer.
