Commercial Description:
Mustang Gold Ale is the perfect entry point into the world of "drinkable" craft beers. We brew Mustang Gold for those who want an ultra-smooth all-malt flavor, without any extra color or aftertaste. Typical light golden beers are made with "extenders," like rice and corn. Not this one. Once you've tasted an all-malt golden beer, you'll never go back. Yes, you'll pay a little more for this craft beer. Go ahead. You're worth it.

Strong malt taste, but no lingering hop aftertaste. Very smooth initial palate. This beer is not all that unique, but it does offer a very smooth malt, almost sweet, flavor.

Sample at the Eurostash tasting on 04/30/09: The beer is a clear golden-orange color with a medium thin white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing. The aroma is lightly spiced hops and some grainy malt. Light body with flavors of dull hops, sweet malt and a bit of fruit. The finish is lightly spiced and hoppy and does not last very long. Slightly below average overall.

Hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma has grain, and a hint of citrus. Sweet fruity flavour with low bitterness.

Bottle from party shoppe, IN. Cloudy, seni-gold but kind of orange with medium white pancake head. Aroma is very strong but can’t quite put my finger on exactly what it smells like. Maybe dull hops, maybe a little sour, bready? Not too apetizing. Flavor is somewhat similar with a touch of, Oh! I got it! Seltzer water. Metalic, slightly grassy, meh. Thin and highly carbonated. Meh.

Bottle. Fruity and yeasty aroma. Sweet and wheaty. Cloudy orange colour, sparkling. Small stable white head. The flavour is quite yeasty with a little wheat. Not very fruity or citric. A bit dull, but harmless. It says gold ale, but this is a wheat beer to me.

Bottle sampled at the Warbird tasting at Blacklick Wine and Spirits on 2.19.09. Pours a goldish copper with a thin white head. Malty aroma with a touch of hop. Malty up front with a bit of hop at the end. Thin finish.

12oz bottle served in a shaker glass. Pale gold with a small soapy looking head, continuous bubbles of carbonation rise through the liquid. Simple smell of bready malt and honey. Has a lightly sweet bread flavor that I often detect in German lagers. Texture is slightly chalky. Not bad, just boring.

bottle. Pretty decent ale - nothing really jumps out to make this beer unique. Crisp, smooth ale that is a decent drink
