Commercial Description:
Mustang Gold Ale is the perfect entry point into the world of "drinkable" craft beers. We brew Mustang Gold for those who want an ultra-smooth all-malt flavor, without any extra color or aftertaste. Typical light golden beers are made with "extenders," like rice and corn. Not this one. Once you've tasted an all-malt golden beer, you'll never go back. Yes, you'll pay a little more for this craft beer. Go ahead. You're worth it.

Pours a light amber/golden color with white head. Aroma is of slight citrus hops with caramel malts, and some yeast. Pretty plain aroma with caramel malts and a finish of some citrus hops although they are not very strong. No lingering flavor.

Bottle 355ml.
Clear medium orange color with a average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dusty, light yeasty, cheese. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily - smooth, carbonation is soft. (050808)

Poured a pale golden yellow with a healthy 3-finger head. Smell was citrus and dough. Taste was very clean and weak. It’s down your throat before you even taste it. Not much hops in the flavor at all, and the malts are weak as well. This would have been better if they’d added just enough hops to give it some character. All around, pretty weak, but drinkable.

@Indiana Beerfest-pours a light tan head and gold color. Aroma is medium malt, slight spice hops. Taste is continental hops (Hallertau), secondary medium malt. Crisp. From others recent comments, seems like a bottling issue, as this was tasty.

A Mes rate: Bottle at GBBF.
Gold with a thin off white head. Sweet and floral. Caramel malt base with a dull metallic finish. Drinks like a standard pale lager.

Bottled - GBBF 2008. A golden beer with a whitish head. The aroma is plain with some sweet bits and some yeastiness. The taste is very ordinary with some farty yeast.
