Commercial Description:
Mustang Gold Ale is the perfect entry point into the world of "drinkable" craft beers. We brew Mustang Gold for those who want an ultra-smooth all-malt flavor, without any extra color or aftertaste. Typical light golden beers are made with "extenders," like rice and corn. Not this one. Once you've tasted an all-malt golden beer, you'll never go back. Yes, you'll pay a little more for this craft beer. Go ahead. You're worth it.

Bottle. Poured golden amber color with an average white head that diminished quickly with fair lacing. Light sweet aroma and flavor was small sweet grainy. Overly sweet and a below average presentation of a golden/blond ale.

Bottle and served in standard pint glass. Pours a slightly hazed golden hue with a fizzy fading head and no lace. The aroma has notes of grains, diacetyl, and soap and light apple esters. Like another reviewers hints at this smells like corn even if they say it doesn’t. The taste has sweet grainy malt with a hint of honey and some subdued fruity character. Completely bland with zero depth and got boring very quickly. The mouth feel is ever bit the equal of nose and palate, just a hint better than a macro. PASS ON THIS, thankfully I bought it as a single bottle.

12 oz Bottle - Pours a nice golden color with a little head. Aroma is malt, wheat, slight hops, earth, and corn (even though it says it doesn’t contain any). Taste is exactly the same - it’s not bad, very drinkable - but also very unexciting and slightly watery. Disappointing.

This was probably better than Berghoff pilsner or lager in my opinion. Those were the only experience I’ve had with this style other than maybe colt 45. It’s way better than that.

Appearance: Pours a clear yellow body with a thin white head. Smell: Pale malt aroma with scant, soft floral notes. Taste: Thin pale malt flavor with only the lightest amount of honey and citrus added. Finishes clean but oh-so watery. Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Watery texture. Drinkability: If you’re not out in the scorching hot sun atop a riding lawnmower you’ll be pretty disappointed.

Pours a pale golden with a thin, but dense white head. Faint aroma of pale malt and mild English hops. Body starts with a lot of grainy earthy malt character with mild bitterness and a bland, watery finish. A pretty dull brew, that could use a little more balance and refinement.

Bottle from Capone’s. Pours deep gold with 2-finger fluffy white head. Aroma of pale malt, hopcit, some honey-dipped apricot. Tastes of pale malt primarily, with notes of hopcitrus, honey, with a crisp, somewhat dry finish that retains its citric and slightly fruity character throughout. Not bad.
