This drinks with a very light body, with a very well balanced and drinkable balance of traditional wheaty characteristics. Not exactly a true hefeweizen, but a decent American wheat, and one that I think they could’ve sold a lot of, if they’d have stayed in business. Sorry to see them go. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 25, 2009 Nice wheat, fairly simple and it doesn’t have the big flavors typically associated with a genuine Hefeweizen. Pours really cloudy with a nice golden-orange body. Big white top with sporadic, spotty lacing. Light wheat aroma with a faint perfume scent as well as some apricot and banana. On the thin side with a good finish. Crisp, sweetened wheat flavor coupled by banana, orange and a dry tangy bite. cbkschubert (2008), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
