Pours a red color. Very faint, almost approaching copper. Nice sized head to start off. Quickly went away and no laching. Aroma is weird. Smells like a red with something wrong. Flavor is malty but bland. Nothing special here and it seems like it is targeted to the macro drinker. I wish my home town could do better.

12oz can, courtesy of Monger. Thanks, James! Pours a golden orange color; minimal off-white head. Light sugar and slightly plasticy aroma; not much here. Very light, sticky mouthfeel showing sugar, grapiness, and some light malts; not much here. Quick, grainy finish.

poured from a bottle. smells and tastes of caramel. a little smoky and a little malty. it bites the palate a little too sharply for my taste. I like a beer I can enjoy by the sip AND the gulp but this beer is un-gulpable. overall not bad but I won’t be going back for more.

Appearance: Pours a clear coppy body with a small, off-white head. Smell: Light aroma of toasted grains and biscuits with a pat of butter. Taste: Toasted malts upfront along with crumpled biscuits and butter. Very little sweetness throughout. Finishes with a mild citrus flavor. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Somewhat watery. Drinkability: A drinkable, but less than thrilling amber ale.

Pours a transparent dark golden bronze with a spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of toasted grainy caramel malt and some floral buttery doughy notes. Body starts with some light caramel malty sweetness and toasty, nutty notes toward a blander earthy finish. A pretty dull amber.

Bottle from Capone’s. Deep copper pour with 1-finger off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, nuts, some funky cabernet, honey, and slight taint. Tasted caramel malty with accents of brown sugar, cabernet, almond, and slight funk.
